Peacefully, with loved ones by his side. Bill passed away at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville on Monday, May 19, 2025. Born in Owen Sound on September 17, 1954, William Erling Marshall of Huntsville, was in his 71st year.
Beloved partner and soul mate of Shelly Ashby of Huntsville. Loving father of Carly Marshall of Allenford and Brant Marshall of Courtenay, B.C. Cherished Poppa of James and Chloë Nicol. Dear brother of Bob Marshall (Pat) of Bognor. Mac Marshall of Owen Sound and Doug Marshall (Karen) of Owen Sound. Fondly remembered by Jason and Cristina, Jack, Bianca and Danny Ashby of Odessa and Darryl, Braiden and Emily Ashby of Baysville. Bill will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and friends. Bill had a special place in his heart for his 2 dogs Sadie and Gracie, that he adored.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and Florence Marshall, and by his siblings Donald Marshall and Laurie Wright.
Bill attended the University of Guelph and received his degree in Agriculture. He later went on to provide 30 years of dedicated service to the County of Grey. He actively raised Holland Lop bunnies as a hobby and had a passion for baseball.
Memorial Service will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Saturday May 24 at 1 p.m. with Visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home
