Nadjiwon, Theresa – of Neyaashiinigmiing, peacefully at Brightshores Health System Wiarton on Wednesday October 11, 2023. Theresa Edith Nadjiwon (nee Akiwenzie) at the age of 89 years.
Dear mother of Marilyn and her husband Dean Gavard, and Mark and his wife Nora, both of Neyaashiinigmiing. Cherished grandmother of Jocelyn Gavard, Rozlyn Gavard, and Darren Nadjiwon (partner Cassandra King); and great-grandmother of Cash Robbins, Richard Jones, Aaliyah Nadjiwon, Declan Nadjiwon, and Harper Nadjiwon. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, John Nadjiwon; parents, Resime and Florence Akiwenzie; brother, Ambrose Akiwenzie and his wife Sylvia; sisters, Shirley and her husband Ivan Reeves, Agnes Akiwenzie, and Delphine Pelletier; and dear granddaughter, Marcie Nadjiwon.
Family invite friends to gather for visitation at the Maadookii Senior Centre, Neyaashiinigmiing on Friday October 13, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, where a service to celebrate Theresa’s life will be conducted on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock.
