Rosiland Anna 'Rose' Teplicky

Born in Plunkett, Saskatchewan on March 22, 1931, Rosiland Anna Teplicky (nee Retzer) of Annan passed away peacefully at Chapman House in Owen Sound Ontario, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Paul John Teplicky, loving mother of Les Teplicky and his wife Darlene. Cherished grandma of Christa, Erin and Bradley, great-grandma of Adeline, Miles, Evelyn, Henry, Clayton and Oliver. Dear sister of Irene, Lillian, Gerald, Karl and Don. Rose will also be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends.Predeceased by her parents Paul and Helen Retzer (nee Norek), and her brother Edward.
Rose met Paul when they both lived in Toronto, were later married, and moved to Glencoe Ontario where they ran the John Deere farm equipment business, Tip’s Farm Equipment, for 30 years. She enjoyed playing sports and watching curling and hockey in later years.Rose and Paul retired to the Owen Sound area where they met and became friends with many wonderful neighbors. Rose was well known as a hard worker looking after acres of wonderful gardens. Age did not stop her from mowing grass on her John Deere.Sewing, knitting and quilting were a passion, her work being enjoyed by friends and family.She will be missed by family and friends that looked to her as a role model, someone that was courageous, caring and an inspiration.
A celebration ofRose’s life will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. The visitation will start at 12:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home.
