Peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Born in Owen Sound on March 25, 1938, Rosalyn Bumstead (nee Cruickshank) of Shallow Lake was in her 89th year.

Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Bumstead. Loving mother of David Bumstead (Laurie) of Barrie, Doug Bumstead (Carol) of Owen Sound, Lori Bumstead of Owen Sound, Rob Bumstead (Alice) of Owen Sound, Julie Moores (Kevin) of Owen Sound, and Sharon Longland (Mike) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of 15 grandchildren. Proud great grandma of 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jill Johnston (Alex) of Owen Sound, Janet Cruickshank of Owen Sound, and Art Cruickshank (Brenda) of Owen Sound. Sister-in-law of Ruth Skippen of Owen Sound and Sumire Bumstead of Japan. Rosalyn will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Keith and Julia Cruickshank.

A funeral service to celebrate Rosalyn’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
