Went to be with our Lord and Saviour at Brightshores Health System, Markdale on Monday, September 22, 2025 in her 92nd year. Marilyn (nee Hall) is reunited with her beloved husband George(2023). Loving mother of David(Melania) of Markdale, Paul(Cheryl) of Florenceville-Bristol, N.B., Marie and Steven both of Markdale. Cherished grandmother of Kenneth(Lisa), Kevin(Heidi), Shawn(Amanda), Melissa(Evan) Barrett, Samuel, Ben(Lydia) and Hanna. Proud great grandmother of Spencer, Austin, Amber, Laura, James, Brooke, Caleb, Colby, Travis, Lincoln, Maverick, Silas and Micah. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Debbie Coolidge and sister Doreen Dalton McMaster and her husband Russell.
Marilyn was born April 5, 1934 in Ashburn, Ontario to Roy and Elsie Hall. She worked secretarial jobs until she met and married the love of her life, George, on August 30, 1952. Marilyn’s desire to be near the water took her to their beautiful dairy farm in Markdale with the river running through it. She worked hard with her husband on the dairy farm, but took great pride in her gardens, both flowers and produce. She was well known for her baking; pies, butter tarts, muffins and more. Church and her relationship with the Lord was a large part of her life, her morning Bible readings, teaching Sunday school and junior church. Her presence will be greatly missed in our community.
The family will receive friends at Markdale Baptist Church on Friday, September 26, from 9:30 until the time of service at 11:00am. Reception to follow. Private family interment at Markdale Cemetery.
