Ruby White (nee Sinclair) passed away peacefully at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa, ON on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the age of 101.

Born in Sullivan Township on December 5, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Marjorie (nee Calhoun) Sinclair. Ruby was predeceased by her beloved husband Doug White in 2014. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Ruby will be remembered for her love of curling and golf. One of her greatest accomplishments was winning the Senior Ontario Women’s Curling Championship, while she was team skip. Her love for sports was very evident in her life, but her greatest love was her late husband, Doug. She supported Doug and worked alongside him while sheep farming in Euphrasia Township for 30 years,

The family would like to thank the staff at Algonquin Nursing Home for their care and support for the past 3 years.

A funeral service celebrating Ruby’s life will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 1 o’clock with visiting the hour prior to service. Interment will take place at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery.
