Passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Hospice Chapman House on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Born in Annan on Thursday, March 19, 1925, Margaret “Peg” Beth MacKinnon (nèe Riddell) of Owen Sound, was in her 101st year.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Donald MacKinnon. Loving mother of David MacKinnon (Marilyn) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandmother of David Jr. (Robin), Krista, Sarah, and Michael, and great-grandmother of Melissa, Taylor, Noah, Gage, Alexander, Benjamin, and Lacey. Dear sister of Doreen McPhatter (Bob). Peg will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.

Predeceased by her parents William and Frances Riddell, her daughter Frances MacKinnon, and her sister Marylou Buchanan (Mel).

A memorial service to celebrate Peg’s life will be held at the Salvation Army Owen Sound Community Church, 365 14th St. W., Owen Sound, on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 12 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place in Annan Cemetery following the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
