It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished husband, dad, and papa, Kenneth James Bullock, on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by the love of his wife and daughters.
He fought a courageous battle with non-Hodgkinson’s lymphoma over the past four years. Ken faced his illness with incredible strength, dignity, and determination, inspiring those around him with his resilience and unwavering strength. Even during the most difficult moments, his love for his family and his caring nature never faded.
Ken will be missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Marie (nee Sinclair), whose partnership and unwavering support meant everything to him. He will be forever cherished by his daughters; Kerrigan Laporte (Carson) of Meaford and Krista Smith (Michael) of Owen Sound, who were his greatest pride and joy, along with his loving grandchildren, Adalyn and Maverick Laporte, and Ella and Ava Smith who brought endless happiness and laughter to his life.
Ken is survived by his mother Norma Bullock and his siblings Donna Bryans (Mike) and Ron Bullock (Bonnie), along with many nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his father, Donald Bullock. Ken was the son-in-law to Doug and Shirley Sinclair and brother-in-law to Glenn Sinclair.
Born January 27, 1964, Ken spent his early days on the farm in Gibraltar, later residing in the community of Ravenna. Throughout his early years, Ken enjoyed being a scout. He loved playing baseball, football, broomball, and hockey. Ken was a proud member of the community and contributed through his involvement as a Beaver Valley Kinsman, a coach of several hockey teams, and later in his life, the President of the Meaford Curling Club.
Ken started his career working at the local Co-op in Thornbury, where his strong work ethic and friendly personality quickly became well known. Over the years, he dedicated himself to his work. He started off as a fuel truck driver, later moving into sales and management with FS Partners. Towards the end of his career, he re-entered the world of sales with Bryan’s Fuel. Ken took great pride in the relationships he built with co-workers and customers alike. His commitment and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to work alongside him.
Ken was a proud member of the Rock Lake Hunt Camp in Killarney, where he was better known to his friends as “Kappy”. His presence will be deeply missed, along with his cooking expertise.
Aside from his passions and career, Ken’s greatest devotion was his family. Ken truly cherished his wife and together they stood beside one another through every joy, challenge, and milestone. They found great happiness in the family they created together. Ken loved being a dad. He took great pride in both of his daughter’s accomplishments throughout their childhood and into their adult lives. While being a dad was one of Ken’s greatest blessings, becoming a Papa to his four grandchildren was something he treasured beyond words.
Even throughout his courageous battle with cancer and the many treatments he endured, Ken remained determined to continue living life to the fullest. He found great joy in the simple moments and the people he loved most, never letting his illness define him. Whether he was travelling with family, spending summers relaxing at the trailer, enjoying curling, or heading north with the boys, Ken cherished every opportunity to be surrounded by laughter, nature, and those closest to him. His strength, resilience, and appreciation for life remained evident until the very end.
