Kenneth Edison Sewell

Ken passed away peacefully at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre ‘PeopleCare’ surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the age of 91.
Born in St. Vincent Township on November 16, 1933, the son of the late Harry and Leatice (nee Clarke) Sewell.
Ken was the beloved husband for 73 years to Lucille (nee Hill) Sewell. He was the cherished father of Marilyn Pink (Wayne), Penny Fligg (Wayne), and Kim Macdonald (Jeff). Ken was the proud grandpa of Robin Lambe (Mike), Chad Pink (Lindsay), Brady Pink (Kelly Lewis), Crystal Macdonald, Cameron Macdonald (Melanie), Courtney Shaw (Nathan), and was predeceased by his grandson Christopher Fligg. He was the great grandpa of Hailey Pink, Chandler Lambe, Preston Lambe, Ally Pink, and Andrea Shaw.
In his early years Ken worked the family farm in Blantyre. He served on St. Vincent Council and then started working with the Township as the Roads Superintendent. He held this position for 22 years. Ken was the President of the ‘Good Roads Association’, and President and member of the Meaford and St. Vincent Agricultural Society. He was a member of the Kinsmen Club ‘K-40’, enjoyed volunteering with them and established many friendships that he has treasured over the years. He and Lucille enjoyed camping with friends after their retirement and even started travelling and spending winters in Texas, where they enjoyed the entertainment, music and dancing. He loved spending time with family and friends. Ken enjoyed life, he was a hard worker and liked to have a good time.
A funeral service will be conducted at Knox Presbyterian Church in Meaford on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11 o’clock, with visiting the hour prior to service. A private service of committal and interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
