Peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound, on Thursday, September 4, 2026. Born in Mytholmroyd, England on July 25, 1933, Joan Boothman (nee Greenwood) of Owen Sound was in her 94th year.

Beloved wife of the late John Boothman and late Paul Duggan. Loving mother of Penny Luke (Gary), Tim Boothman (Sherry), Holly Duncalfe (Mark), and Sherry Beda (John). Cherished Nana of Brandy (Jason), Jennifer, Devon (Dana), Jade (Chris), Summer (Nathan), Chantelle (Chris), Alexandria (Connor), Domenic (Alana), Fiona (Noah), and Sophie, and great-Nana of 12. Joan will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Frank and Hilda Greenwood (nee Johnson), and by her 3 sisters.

A come & go memorial visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6 – 8 p.m.
