Peacefully, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Lee Manor, Owen Sound in her 92^nd year. Jean, loving wife of the late Al. Beloved mom of Janice and her husband Laurie Fries, and Little Al. Proud Grandma of Jeff (Jenn), Jen (Brian), Caitlyn (Sean), and Shelby. Great Grandma of Callaghan, Hunter, Emma, Colten, Chloe, Wesley, the late Kendall, Liam, and Connor. Dear sister of Myrtle Beatty, Lois Emmerson, and Marlene Byers. Jean will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Morrison and Elda Stewart,  her sisters and brother in-laws Viola Anderson(Jack), Doris Davidson, Bernice Craig(John), Wilbert Beatty, William Byers, and Donald Emmerson.

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am at the Brown Family Funeral Home, 1 – 900 10^th Street West, Owen Sound, 519-376-3710. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.

Jean’s family would like to express their thanks for the compassion and care Jean received from the staff at Lee Manor.
