Doris “Dorie” Sweiger of Dobbinton passed away after a brief illness at Brightshores Health System, Southampton, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in her 95th year.

Loving mother of Tim (Pearl), Ted (Connie), Tom (Karen), Terry (Louise), and Todd (Janice). Cherished grandmother of Trevor (Leigh-Anne), Tori (Greg), Tina (Cory), Scott (Jessica), Sarah (Jeremy), Tyson (Megan), Tyler, Kenzie (Alyssa), Kayla (Nicole), Karlee (Mark), and great-grandmother of Rachel, Lucas, Connor, Madison, Devin, Lana, Leah, Wren, Claire, Dawson, Deacon, Lennon, Evalyn, Archie, and Jack. Dorie was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, sister Georgie (Bob) Nelson, brother Bruce (Glenna) Clements, and her parents, James and Evelyn (Speer) Clements.

A memorial service honouring Dorie’s life will be held at the Chesley Community Centre on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 1 p.m. A celebration of her life will follow from 2 – 5 p.m. Private inurnment in Chesley Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation or Saugeen Shores Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
