“A life that touches others goes on forever.”
On Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the comfort of his home in Oakville, with his loving wife, Brian Woodhouse passed peacefully in his 74th year.
Brian is the beloved husband and best friend of more than 50 years to Donna (Jean Pallett). Loving and devoted father of Michelle(Paul) Ingham of Schomberg and Jamie(Justin) Machin of Oakville. Proud grandfather of William, Emily, James, Andrew Ingham and Bennett and Brooke Machin. Dearly missed by his sisters Darlene(Rod) Turner of Owen Sound, Kathy(Dale) Clarke of Meaford, Lisa(Marlon Hewgill) of Heathcote and the late Kaylene. Brother in-law of Linda Pallett (Laurie Rowlandson) of Sudbury. He is loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins that he was proud to call his family. An important part of his legacy are the incredible friendships he treasured.
Brian was born April 7, 1952 in Collingwood to the late Harold and June Woodhouse. He was raised on the family farm in Heathcote, completed high school in Meaford and then finished his education at De Vry Institute of Technology.
At the age of 16, through a youth group event, he met the love of his life, Donna, and they married on May 31, 1975. Throughout his career he ventured through many occupations as Brian was a Jack of All Trades, often using millwright skills. Brian had an incredibly strong work ethic, and was driven for excellence in all that he did. In both business and his personal life he built honest, trustworthy relationships. He was confident, assertive, and direct in his communication. When there was a problem, or you needed practical, straight forward advice, Brian was the man to call. He had a heart of gold and his great wit and sense of humour will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
After acquiring his private pilot’s license, Brian was able to pursue one of his greatest passions – flying. He also loved the time he spent touring around on his motorcycles and using his outdoor equipment as he worked away on new projects at the cottage. Brian and Donna enjoyed building their life together raising their two daughters in King City, spending quality time with family at their cottage on Six Mile Lake in the summers and during winters making wonderful memories with cherished friends in their Florida community.
We honour Brian as we choose to pursue truth, share wisdom and live our lives in integrity.
The family invites you to gather with them at Gentle Shepherd Community Church, 426176 8th Concession Rd, Flesherton, ON N0C 1E0 on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00am to honour Brian’s life.
