Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, July 10, 2026. Born in Southampton on August 29, 1961, Andrew John Underwood of Owen Sound was in his 65th year.

Beloved husband for 34 years of Danielle Underwood (nee Laliberté) of Owen Sound. Andy will also be missed by his three sisters (spouses), nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and by many dear friends and extended family.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Isobel Underwood.

Andy grew up in Port Elgin and began his career in Toronto, where he met the love of his life, Danielle. A few decades ago, they made Owen Sound their home so they could be closer to family. Andy dedicated more than 20 years of service to Home & Community Support Services before retiring five years ago.

A committed community volunteer, Andy served on numerous boards and committees, including the Billy Bishop Home & Museum, the Owen Sound Transportation Company, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and the Accessibility Committees for both the City of Owen Sound and Grey County.

A celebration of life for all those that knew Andy will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Branch 6, 1450 2nd Ave. W., Owen Sound, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 11:15 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
