Peacefully at Chapman House Hospice on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born in Wiarton on Thursday, July 6, 1944, Albert Edward McLean of Annan, was in his 81st year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Diane McLean (Nee Thompson). Proud father of Sandra Pedlar (Michael) of Meaford, Carolyn Bendo (David) of Waterloo, and Steven McLean (Teresa) of British Columbia. Cherished grandfather of Annette (Caitlin), Katie (Mitchell), Megan, Micah (Hailey), Emma (Carson), and William. Dear brother of Marg Miller, Jack McLean (JoAnn), and Ralph McLean (Marie), and brother-in-law of Dorothy McLean, Doug Thompson (Sandra), Dennis McCutcheon, and Bill Thompson (Trish). Bert will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents James and Ethel McLean, his brother Wes McLean, his brother-in-law John Miller and sister-in-law Pauline McCutcheon.
Memorial visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Bruce officiating. Interment in Annan Cemetery will take place at a later date.
