Peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Grey Gables Nursing Home, Markdale of Durham in her 85^th year. She is reunited with her beloved husband Ted (Norman Edward) Stoddart. Loving mother of Marsha Reay(Randy), Todd Stoddart(Cathy) and Shaun Stoddart all of Durham. Cherished grandmother of Brendon Reay(Jenna), Kailyn Reay, Colton Stoddart(Paige) and the late Presley Stoddart. Proud great grandmother of Holden Reay.

Predeceased by her parents Harold and Doris Arnott, mother and father in-law Norman and Hazel, brothers and sisters in-law Jim and Ferne, Bob and Joan.

Marlene started work at 16 at De Haviland Aricraft in Toronto while attending night classes at Downsview Collegiate. At work she met local, Donna Russell(Lever), who brought her up to Flesherton. It was here she met the love of her life, Ted, and 8 months later married him on March 2, 1963. Marlene was known for some of her various administration jobs over the years, Grey Highlands Secondary School, Public Health Unit, Flesherton, Avis Pharmacy, etc. but her greatest role was being a mother and grandmother.

Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Flesherton Cemetery on Friday, May 22 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Mouth and Foot Painting Artists of Canada, Grey Bruce Animal Shelter or Canadian Wildlife Federation would be greatly appreciated.
