Provincial Police have charged a 38-year-old man with nearly 70 offences after executing search warrants in Brockton and Chatsworth.
South Bruce OPP say an investigation into a series of break-and-enters at multiple car washes and storage units in the area led police to locations in Brockton and Chatsworth.
Last Friday, the OPP executed search warrants at a property on Sideroad 10 in Brockton and along Grey-Bruce Line in Chatsworth. Police say they seized stolen trailers and vehicles, as well as suspected break-in tools.
“The total value of the recovered stolen property is approximately $7,000,” South Bruce OPP say. “Additionally, over $5,000 worth of offence-related property was also seized.”
A 38-year-old Brockton man was arrested and charged with almost 70 criminal offences, including multiple counts of break and enter, theft under $5,000, and motor vehicle theft.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
