Provincial Police say a Holstein resident has been charged with a provincial offence after a collision between a pick-up truck and horse-drawn carriage in Southgate.
Emergency services responded to the incident just after 9 a.m. Sunday morning on Grey Road 23 — northwest of Hopeville — between Grey Road 9 and Southgate Road 22.
The OPP say an occupant in the carriage suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the pick-up truck, a 59-year-old Holstein resident, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving causing bodily harm.
Grey Road 23 was closed in the area of the collision for several hours yesterday, but has since reopened.
