A moose that had been causing a social media sensation wandering around Collingwood and Thornbury has been relocated.
It’s uncommon for moose to be found so far south.
Collingwood & The Blue Mountains OPP say it was wandering the waterfront trails and neighbouring streets.
They had been warning people to keep away and keep their dogs leashed.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry tranquilized the moose while it was in the water to be relocated to a more suitable habitat farther north.
