Owen Sound Police say what began as a call about intimate partner violence resulted in drug and weapons charges.
A 28-year-old is now facing charges following a call to police earlier this week.
On Wednesday, Owen Sound Police responded to a call on the west side of the city.
During the initial investigation, officers ended up getting a search warrant for the property.
The search turned up five illegal firearms and ammunition, 137 grams of cocaine, approximately 2 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 142 ecstasy tablets, around $1,300 in Canadian currency and a cell phone.
The drugs seized have an estimated street value of $20,000.
The name of the accused will not be released due to the fact that they are connected with intimate partner violence.
The charges include several assault-related charges, including assault with a weapon, possession of cocaine and ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession and careless storage of a firearm.
The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing.
