There’s a meeting this week for residents on River Street in Port Elgin ahead of some road work.
The Town of Saugeen Shores says the River Street reconstruction project from Arlington Street to Wellington Street North includes replacement of sanitary sewer and watermain, storm drainage infrastructure improvements, replacement of road base and asphalt, and installation of new sidewalk.
The Town says a pre-construction meeting will be held for impacted residents to learn about this project on September 10 from 4:30-5:30pm on River St.
This project is expected to begin September 14th, weather permitting, and is expected to take about two months.
It will include the replacement of the sanitary sewer & watermain, installation of storm drainage/ infiltration systems, replacement of road base & asphalt, and new sidewalk.
