Mary Ann Lundy

We are heartbroken to announce Mary Ann Lundy, 77, of Kemble, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound.
Maryann, born on June 11, 1949, is survived by her husband Terry Lundy; and her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Gary Shaw.
Maryann was raised in Owen Sound by her grandparents Dan & Florence Daniels (deceased). “The city girl” from Owen Sound married Terry in 1970 and moved to the farm in Kemble on Lundy Road where they still reside. During their 56 years of marriage, they had three children: Michelle (Kirby Harris), Allison (Mike Sutherland), and Rob (Amy McNabb). One of her greatest joys was her children and their partners.
Maryann spent her time being the farmer’s wife and doing all that came with that title. She loved sitting at the water in Big Bay, reading, baking, gardening, drawing, making cards, journals, and mixed-media projects. She also loved spending lots of time with—and passing down her passions to—her grandchildren, Minda Harris, Kody Harris (Victoria Durward), Kaleb Sutherland, Paige Sutherland (Jake Bifolchi), and Julia Sutherland (Tanner Copeland).
Maryann is predeceased by her parents Charles Daniels and Shirley Dickens; her in-laws, Bob and Jean Lundy; brother-in-law, Wayne Lundy; and sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Stuart Nesbitt.
A special thank you to the staff at Chapman House Hospice Owen Sound, Mora and the Care Partners team, and Nurse Practitioner Aman Sohrab for their amazing care of Maryann.
Friends and neighbours are invited to a celebration of life to be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Kemble Sarawak United Church, 319941 Grey Rd. 1, Kemble, Ontario, from 1-3 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
