Kincardine has a new chief administrative officer.
The municipality announced Alan Smith has been appointed to the role, effective next Monday, July 20.
“Mr. Smith brings more than 20 years of municipal leadership experience across Ontario and British Columbia,” a release from the municipality says. “Most recently, he served as CAO for the Town of Kirkland Lake, where he provided leadership to municipal operations, supported council’s strategic priorities, and guided the organization through complex operational and infrastructure initiatives.”
Kincardine Mayor Kenneth Craig: “We are excited to welcome Alan to the Municipality of Kincardine and look forward to the experience and leadership he brings to our organization. His commitment to effective municipal service delivery and collaborative leadership will support our continued work to serve residents and advance council’s priorities.”
Former Grey County CAO Kim Wingrove had been serving as the interim CAO in Kincardine over the past several months.
