Owen Sound police say a cyclist has been seriously injured in a collision.
Police say, on Monday at about 10:15 p.m., police responded to a serious collision involving a pickup truck and a cyclist at the intersection of 4th Avenue West and 3rd Street A West.
The cyclist, a 57-year-old Owen Sound man, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was transported to a London area trauma centre for treatment.
The driver of the pickup truck has been charged under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act with careless driving causing bodily harm.
A portion of the road remained closed for a number of hours overnight while members of the Owen Sound Police Service, with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit examined the scene. It has since been reopened.
