You can drop off old paints, batteries and propane tanks at household hazardous waste collection events in Bruce and Grey counties this weekend.
Residents of Owen Sound, Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, Grey Highlands and Meaford are eligible to dispose of their household hazardous waste materials at the Owen Sound Public Works facility on 20th Street East between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Bruce County is also hosting a hazardous waste collection event Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Paisley Bruce County yard.
Paints, used oil, batteries and household cleaners are among the accepted items.
Commercial, industrial and agricultural waste is not eligible to be dropped off.
