The Municipality of Meaford is inviting families to the grand opening of a new splash pad this month.
The Splash into Summer event will be on June 20.
The event will also be part of the Longest Day of PLAY, which is a community-wide event that encourages children and families to enjoy being outside while being active and participating in unstructured play.
In addition to celebrating the Grand Opening of the new splash pad at McCarroll Park, families are also able to look forward to museum exhibits, story time sessions, a trackless train, touch a truck, and games, activities, and community programming.
The municipality is also focused on accessibility and inclusion for the event, and activities are designed to be welcoming and barrier-aware, with accessible routes, parking, and clear event information to help everyone plan their day.
The event runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., and is free to attend.
