Keenan Reynolds is the new head coach of the Owen Sound Attack.
The team announced the move in press release Wednesday morning.
It’s the first Ontario Hockey League head coaching job for Reynolds. The 28-year-old Ottawa native spent the 2025-26 OHL season as an assistant coach for the Erie Otters. Prior to that, he spent one season in the QMJHL working as an assistant coach for Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and parts of two seasons in the CCHL with Nepean Raiders.
During his OHL playing career, Reynolds spent parts of two seasons with the Attack. He was a fourth-round pick of Owen Sound in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.
“When we began our search, we were looking for a teacher, communicator, and leader with a clear vision for player development and team culture,” Attack President and Governor Tyler Nother says in a release. “Keenan stood out throughout the interview process with his passion, preparation, and modern approach to coaching. His understanding of today’s players and his vision for the future of our organization made this an easy decision.”
Reynolds says he is excited for the opportunity to coach the Attack: “Becoming a head coach in the Ontario Hockey League has been a long-time goal of mine, and to do so with the organization where I began my OHL career as a player is incredibly humbling. I look forward to working alongside Tyler Nother to continue building an organization that provides players with the best possible environment to develop as students, high-performance athletes, and future leaders in our communities.”
The team release announcing the hiring of Reynolds as head coach also includes a statement from captain Pierce Mbuyi: “I’m thrilled to welcome Keenan as our new head coach. I had a great conversation with him over lunch yesterday, and I have a lot of confidence in his vision and plan to build a winning culture here in Owen Sound.”
The formal announcement of Reynolds as Owen Sound’s new bench boss comes just days after the team cut ties with Scott Wray and Reagan O’Grady, who served as head coach and assistant coach the past two seasons.
Brandon Shaw is being retained as an assistant coach, leaving one vacancy on the Attack bench to fill.
