Crews are investigating the cause of a house fire in Owen Sound this afternoon.
Fire Chief Phil Eagleson says emergency services responded to the house fire at 20th Street East and 9th Avenue East at about 2 this afternoon .
He says the occupant was able to get out without injury, but some pets are unaccounted for.
Eagleson says the damage is estimated at about $500,000 and homes on either side also had minor damage.
He says the fire started on the outside of the home.
There are multiple road closures approaching the intersection including a closure on 9th avenue just past Duncan McLellan Park.
