Bruce County is hosting some upcoming hazardous waste drop-off up events.
There is one scheduled for Southampton on Saturday, May 2nd from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southampton Works Yard on Peel Street.
The following weekend, there is a hazardous waste collection event in Kincardine at the Public Works depot on Valentine Avenue on Saturday, May 9th, from 8 a.m. to 1 P.M.
Household Hazardous waste events allow people to dispose of common household things such as:
- Paints and stains
- Aerosols and solvents
- Propane tanks
- Household cleaners
You can find a complete list of the accepted materials at www.brucecounty.on.ca/hazardouswaste. Containers will not be emptied and returned (ie. gas cans).
