Residents across Bruce, Dufferin, Grey, and Wellington counties are being encouraged to share their feedback as part of the ongoing Regional Transit Study.
The new survey, open until April 14, is seeking input on early findings and proposed priorities aimed at improving transportation across the region.
The study is examining the feasibility of a unified transit network to better connect communities, improve efficiency, and expand service to areas with limited transportation options. Increasing population growth, aging demographics, and rising costs are all contributing to the need for improved transit solutions in rural areas.
Initial engagement identified several key opportunities, including the creation of transit corridors linking major destinations, expanded on-demand services through Saugeen Mobility and Regional Transit, and better integration with existing systems such as GO Transit, Owen Sound Transit, and other regional services.
The study is also exploring partnerships with private transportation providers, including taxis and ridesharing services, to improve first- and last-mile connections.
Survey results will help inform recommendations that will be presented to County Councils later this spring.
Residents can complete the survey online, with paper copies also becoming available at select county offices and libraries.
