A 23-year-old Kincardine resident is facing stunt driving charges after being stopped for excessive speeding on Highway 21.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers with South Bruce OPP were conducting proactive patrols Monday night when they observed a vehicle traveling 133 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with stunt driving and speeding.
As part of the penalties, the driver received an immediate 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days. A future court date has been scheduled.
Police are reminding the public that road safety is a shared responsibility and are encouraging anyone who witnesses dangerous driving to report it to the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
