Saugeen Shores police have arrested a man after an assault investigation.
Police say, on March 9th 2026 at about 10a.m. they were dispatched to a local hotel in the town of Saugeen Shores for a report of a disturbance.
Police arrived on scene and spoke with witnesses. They say yelling could be heard by officers who responded to a second location at the hotel.
Officers say two people were located and a man was arrested.
A 44-year-old man from South Bruce has been charged with assault with a weapon, failure to comply with probation, failure to comply with a release order, mischief under $5000, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
He was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody with a future court date.
