Connie Elizabeth (Nee Golem) Kuhl was received into her Savior’s arms, peacefully on March 2, 2026, in her 65th year.
Connie is survived by her dear husband Steven, her cherished children, Michael Jay (Jocelyn) of Foleyet, Kerri Lynn (John) of Baden, Heather Lee-Anne of Kitchener and step-grandson Cole (John) of Baden. She is also survived by her mother, Marjorie of Sauble Beach, her siblings Sandra (Eric) of Desboro, Rosanne (Bryan) of Orangeville and Ivy (Cory) of Sauble Beach, her many brothers and sisters–in–law and many, many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Fred Golem Jan 28, 2013, and her father and mother-in-law.
Connie always had an endearing smile, an infectious laugh and a welcoming warmth in all activities, whether working as a home day-care provider, demonstration salesperson, candle maker, bakery worker and cake decorator. She was always involved with various sports – curling, softball, volleyball, golfing, horseshoes, fishing; coaching her daughter’s softball; organizing golf tournaments for her ball team; arranging euchre tournaments at home for friends. Seldom would she be found not doing anything. Connie was an ardent gardener with a fierce passion to get grass to grow in her back yard. Flowers were also very prominent around her home. Connie was a world traveller as well, enjoying a great beach in Cuba or Sauble. She enjoyed cruising with family on many occasions and going to local auctions in St Jacobs.
Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley, on Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13, from 6 – 8 p.m., and at Faith Lutheran Church, 136167 Concession Rd 8, Desboro, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10 – 10:45 a.m., with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Spring interment at Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Desboro.
Special thank you to WRHN@midtown, 6th Floor Oncology doctors and nurses, Grand River Cancer Center – 4th Floor Chemo Suite doctors and nurses and Innisfree House Hospice for the short time Connie was in their care, such a caring and wonderful space.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Connie’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Grand River Cancer, Innisfree Hospice, or Faith Lutheran Church Kitchener.
