A collision involving a pedestrian in Mount Forest has resulted in one person being ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act… and it wasn’t the driver of the vehicle.
OPP officers responded to a “single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian” on Main Street South in Mount Forest around 6:45 a.m. Monday morning.
Police say the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The OPP say their investigation resulted in a Highway Traffic Act charge for the 59-year-old pedestrian, a Mount Forest resident who allegedly failed to use a crosswalk.
“The accused faces a $50 fine,” OPP say in a release.
