Marjory Lenora Byers (nee Hessel) passed away at her home on February 13th, 2026, in her 83rd year.  She was born in Hanover, Ontario on January 19th, 1944.

Beloved wife of the late Keith Byers. Survived by sisters-in-law Brenda Hessel and Joyce Taylor.   Marjory will be missed by her niece Lori Harris (Carl), nephew Steven Hessel (Tonia) and their children.  Lovingly remembered by nieces Mary Henry, Debbie Chisholm, Ruth Maracle, Kim Scott, Louise Taylor, Ann Jackson, Shannon Reid, Stacey Upton, Krista McCormick, and nephews Brad Moran and Jayme Moran along with their children, many friends and her furry companion, Boots.

Marjory was predeceased by her parents Warren and Frances Hessel (nee McKinley), brother Dennis Hessel, sisters-in-law Doris Scott, Margaret Robertson, Donna Moran, Joan Byers, brothers-in-law Raymond Byers, Irwin Scott, Allan Taylor, and Francis Moran, niece Shelley Wilcox, nephews Kerri Scott and Larry Byers.

In keeping with Marjory’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held May 23rd, 2026 at 2 pm at the Zion Cemetery, Hepworth. Arrangements are entrusted to Brain E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound. 519-376-7492.
