With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Eleanore Jean Beattie on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound. Born in Owen Sound on August 25, 1934, Eleanore Jean Beattie (nee Campbell), was in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Glen Beattie and a loving mother to Catherine Peterson (Joseph) of Waterloo, Susan Beattie Hughes (Peter) of Georgian Bluffs, and Mary Dekkers and her late husband, Scott, of Hamilton. Eleanore was a proud grandmother of Adam (Sarah), Steven (Justin) and Heather (Geoff) and a cherished great-grandmother of Charlotte, George, Grace and Claire. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Orral Campbell (nee Wade); her sister Phyllis Hungerford and her husband, Ted; and her sister-in-laws Helen Kennedy (Keith) and Laura Marshall (Reg).

In keeping with Eleanore’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
