Peacefully, at his home with family by his side on Monday, December 15, 2025 in his 73^rd year. Jim, loving son of the late Arthur Garland and Christina “Teeny” (nee Thompson). Dear brother of Ron and his wife Koleen, Mary and her friend Norman Matsumoto, Marlene and her husband Madis Kreem, and Richard and his wife Lisa. Jim will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 1:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm in the chapel of the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222. A spring interment will be held at Purdy Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Saugeen Hospice, Walkerton would be appreciated by the family.
