Peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound, on Monday December 1, 2025. Born on April 11, 1945, Kathleen Elsie Cowan (nèe Johnston) of Owen Sound, was in her 81st year.
Beloved wife and best friend of Robert Cowan for 60 years.Loving mother of Robert (Jr.) Cowan (Michelle). Dear sister of Alex Johnston (Jill), and Linda Harden (Wayne) and sister-in-law of Ann Cowan and Glenn McCulloch. Kay will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents James and Dorothy Johnston, and her siblings Grace Limbert (David), Harold Johnston (Esme), and Maybelle McCulloch.
A memorial service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Kristal McGee officiating with visitation from 11:00 – 12:45 p.m.reception to follow the service. For those unable to attend in person, live-streaming will be available through the funeral home website.
