Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born in Meaford on December 12, 1949, Robert George White was in his 76th year.

Beloved husband for 54 years of Sharon White (nee Barfoot) of Owen Sound.  Loving father of Scott White of Owen Sound and Ryan White of Owen Sound. Dear brother of Mary Spragge of Owen Sound, David White (Sharon Kaus) of Owen Sound and Lois Martin (Reg) of Woodford. Son-in-law of Eleanor Barfoot, and sibling-in-law of David Barfoot (Sonja) of Owen Sound, Gary Barfoot (Debbie) of Owen Sound, Renee Lane (Willard) of North Bay, Ken McMillan of Barrie, Louise Osborn (Craig) of Kincardine, and Alvey Barfoot of Halifax. Robert will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by his parents George and Jean White, parents-in-law Glen and Verna Barfoot, and by his brother-in-law Jim Spragge.

Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 2–4 and 7-9 p.m.  A funeral service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Phil Smith officiating. Interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
