Basil William Wark of Arkwright, passed away at Summit Place, Owen Sound, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 91.
Loving father of Larry of R.R. #2 Tara, and Raymond of R.R. #1 Bognor. Cherished grandfather of Kristen (Scott) Lummiss, Nicole (Zach) Woods, all of Owen Sound, and Lauren of Bognor, and great-grandfather of William and Benjamin Lummiss and Jackson, Casen and Wrenley Jean Woods. Dear brother of Dorothy Wark of Waterloo, Glen Wark of St. Catharine’s, Orville Wark of Paisley, and Norma Wark of Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Predeceased by his wife Jean (McRae), his brothers Jack, Murray, and Norman, and his parents Harvey and Ida Wark.
A funeral service honouring Basil’s life will be held at Tara United Church on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. Private interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Tara United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
