South Bruce OPP are investigating a distraction theft in Kincardine.
They say, back on October 6th, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:10 p.m., an unknown man entered a residence along Alice Street in Kincardine and made contact with the homeowner inside, claiming he was locked out of his own residence and requested to use their phone book.
The homeowner allowed the man to look through the phone book, and he left shortly after.
After he left, the homeowner noticed their purse had been taken.
Police are looking for a man with a tan complexion, about 55 years old, 5’2″ in height, with a medium build, short hair, wearing a black t-shirt.
He is believed to have been driving a white Ford pickup.
