Provincial Police have charged a Kincardine man who allegedly fled from a traffic stop.
South Bruce OPP say officers pulled a vehicle over on Millenium Way in Kincardine around 9 a.m. Thursday morning for a seatbelt violation.
According to police, the vehicle continued on and stopped in a nearby parking lot.
“When the officer advised the driver of the reason for the stop, the driver used obscenities towards the officer and fled in their vehicle,” South Bruce OPP say in a release. “The officer did not pursue the vehicle out of public safety concerns.”
Police say the driver was located later in the day and arrested. The 32-year-old Kincardine man was charged with flight from peace officer and several Highway Traffic Act offences.
