Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2025. Born in Toronto on June 2, 1933, William Russell Leonard Sr. of Owen Sound was in his 93rd year.
Beloved husband for 62 years of Barbara Leonard (nee Rick) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Russell Leonard Jr. of Owen Sound. Dear brother of 3 sisters and 1 brother. Russell will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Hazel Leonard, and by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
A graveside funeral service to celebrate Russell’s life will be held at McLean’s Cemetery, 024848 Holland-Sydenham Townline, Bognor, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. Procession will leave the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. sharp.
