Bruce County is holding a household hazardous waste event in Mildmay next week.
On Aug. 9, residents are invited to attend the South Bruce Municipal Building from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., to dispose of their hazardous materials in an environmentally friendly manner.
Some of the items people can get rid of include paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, batteries, antifreeze, and more.
Commercial, agricultural and industrial waste will not be accepted as well as PCB’s, ammunitions and flares.
Additionally, only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted.
