Peacefully at Owen Sound Gardens on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Born in Foleyet Township on December 11, 1928, Robert John Hawke of Owen Sound, was in his 97th year.
Beloved husband of Margaret Hawke (nee McKeen) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Jeff Hawke (Kim) of Owen Sound and Sandra Billings (Jon) of Toronto. Cherished grandpa of Kelly (Chad), Jeremy (Emily), Kyle and Jacob, and proud great grandpa of Caiden and Charlie. Robert will also be missed by his nieces and nephews Gloria Ellis, Bill, Doug, Brian and Laurie McAllister.
Predeceased by his son Michael Hawke, parents Edgar and Marguerite Hawke, and by his brothers Kenneth and William.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
