It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest mom, with her family by her side, at Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the age of 92.
Wilda (nee Dawson) is now reunited with her dear husband Beverly who predeceased her in 2011. Best mom ever to Lynda (Randy) Johnston, and Sandra (Terry) Holdaway. Cherished grandma to Jason Davenport (Amy), Sherri MacDougald (Adam), and Mandy Harris. Loving great grandma to Jared, Ethan, Madi, Makayla, Molly, Kylee, and Jake.
Predeceased by her parents William and Agnes Dawson (nee Gates), and her sisters Thelma (John)Gowan, and Erma (Edwin) McNabb.
We wish to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Mark Robertson and the palliative care doctors for the outstanding care and compassion given to Mom; to the CarePartners team for all of your kindness and for your daily visits. To Melissa Olmstead and the staff of A Caring Soul for your tremendous care, love and support. A big thank you to all of the nieces and nephews for calling and visiting Mom. She loved you all. To Chapman House Hospice, thank you for all of the care and love given to Mom.
Friends will be received on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm at Brown Family Funeral Home (formerly Tannahill Funeral Home) 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound, 519-376-3710.
Memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
