Hanover police are investigating an arson at the Travellers Inn motel.
They say on Friday, December 15th at about 6:30 p.m. police and firefighters responded to a fire at the motel on 7th Avenue.
They say people inside managed to put out the fire before responders arrived, and the building had only minor damage to its exterior. No injuries were reported.
Police say their investigation determined a male suspect threw a Molotov cocktail at the back door on the west side of the building, breaking the glass and starting a fire.
Police say the suspect ran off towards 7 th Avenue. They believe several shoppers at Food Basics witnessed the suspect running away.
The Fire Marshall’s office was contacted and the investigation continues.
