Owen Sound Police say they’ve charged a 41-year-old local woman after an investigation into “intentional damage” caused to cable and internet lines at several downtown homes.
Police launched an investigation on Sunday after several homeowners in the 1000-1800 blocks of 2nd and 3rd Avenues East woke up to find they had interrupted services. They later realized the lines attached to their homes had been severed.
City Police say the investigation concluded yesterday with the arrest of a 41-year-old Owen Sound woman.
Police say she was charged with several offences, including mischief exceeding $5,000.
The accused, who was not identified by police, remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
