Provincial Police remain on scene at the Bruce Trail east of Owen Sound, but still aren’t saying much about their investigation.
Grey Bruce OPP were called to a section of the Bruce Trail near Concession 11 in the municipality of Meaford just prior to 10 a.m. Monday morning.
Police issued an advisory yesterday afternoon asking people to avoid the area due to an ongoing investigation, but didn’t provide additional details.
In a brief email Tuesday morning, Grey Bruce OPP Const. Nick Wilson confirmed officers remain on scene and people are still being asked to avoid the area.
“At this time we don’t have anything to suggest that there is a risk to public safety,” Wilson says.
