A loud motorcycle in Hanover has led to one person facing a number of charges.
Hanover Police officers had heard a loud motorcycle outside their station on Sunday afternoon, and when they went to check things out, saw the motorcyclist boxed in by traffic to prevent them from fleeing at the intersection of 10th Street and 7th Avenue.
While Hanover Police conducted their investigation, they found that the motorcyclist had never possessed a valid driver’s licence, and was prohibited from driving for several reasons, including failing to stop, and engaging officers in pursuits.
As officers were dealing with the driver, an off-duty OPP officer arrived, and said that the motorcyclist had been driving at high speeds, and performing aggressive passing and dangerous manoeuvres while on the highway.
The 42-year-old motorcyclist is facing 11 different charges, including driving while prohibited, dangerous driving, and driving without insurance.
He was released from custody with a court date in Walkerton. The motorcycle was impounded for 45 days.
